Tools that respect your files

ToolFree started from a simple frustration: most "free" file converter sites quietly upload your documents and photos to a server you know nothing about, then dangle a premium plan in front of you before letting you download the result.

We built ToolFree the other way around. Every converter on this site — the image converter, the compressor, PDF merging, PDF-to-image, CSV/JSON conversion, and Base64 encoding — runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. Your file is read into memory on your device, converted on your device, and offered back to you as a download. At no point does it travel to our servers, because our servers never receive it in the first place.

What we believe

• Free should mean free. No account, no credit card, no artificial limits designed to push you toward a paid tier.
• Privacy is a default, not a feature. Client-side processing isn't a marketing line here — it's the entire architecture.
• Simple tools, done well. Rather than one bloated app that does everything poorly, each tool is built for a single job.
